What an absolutely amazing day it has been...I am so thankful for this day and for all that happened.
My mom and I decided to drive down to Rapid City today to do a little shopping and check out some sales. As we were driving, we decided to continue on to Hill City to go to a little store called Granite City. It is a cute little outdoors store, and they are the only place in the Black Hills that sells TOMS shoes. One of my birthday gifts from my parents was that they would buy me a pair of TOMS shoes, and I have been waiting for about a month. So anyway, my mom and I went to find a pair of shoes and found these cute shoes.
ABSOLUTELY love them...so comfortable...so adorable...and I think that I may become addicted to buying these shoes. If you don't know anything about TOMS shoes, it is really cool because every pair of shoes you buy, they give one pair to a child who doesn't have shoes. So really you buy two pairs of shoes for the price of one.
After shopping there for awhile we decided to go have a light lunch at the Alpine Inn which was also wonderful.
and then had this amazing dessert...
After filling ourselves, we decided to make our way over to Prairie Berry Winery, and do a little wine tasting.
It was so fun, and we tried some interesting wines, but it was really fun to try...My favorite that I tried was the gold digger...intersting name...but it was pretty tasty.
It was fun to be spontaneous and just enjoy our time together.
After all that we then made our way back to Rapid City, and it was such a beautiful drive. The trees were covered with snow and it was just perfect.
Well, if the day couldn't get any better, we then made our way over to one of my favorite stores, TJ Maxx and found some great deals...one by the way is this amazing lamp that I found for my room and absolutely love...
It is simple and modern, and just absolutely perfect, and the best part is that it was the perfect price. I love good deals!
We continued shopping, and then finished off the day by our usual stop at Someone's in the Kitchen to get a latte/coffee for the road trip back home.
The day ended with church and spending time with friends. Couldn't get much better. God is so good, and I love that he gives us time and people to share life with and fun adventures.
