Prayer

PRAYER...
There is power in the name of Jesus...Prayer is such a powerful tool...it is something that you can do at anytime of anyday.  It amazes me that everytime we speak, He hears us.  He desires to have relationship with us.  He desires communion and intimacy.  Prayer is a tool for us to lay our requests to the Lord.  To petition and communicate our thoughts, what is going on in our life, seeking direction, asking, seeking, etc.  It releases things.  I am beginning to understand the power in prayer.  I am beginning to have a passion and desire to pray and intercede.  To ask the Lord the things that our on his heart.  To pray and see things change in the spirit.  To see the Lord do awesome and mighty things in my life and the lives of those around me.

Love Story: I am My Beloved's and He is Mine

On Saturday, my family and I went to a wedding for a sweet friend...Jenny and Michael.  It was such a wonderful celebration...of two people who waited and found the person they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with.  It was also a testimony of not settling for less than God's best, especially when choosing a spouse.  Jenny and Michael were each seeking the Lord...they wanted his will more than their own and because of that a beautiful love story was created.  Here are a few pictures from the evening...

 With The BEAUTIFUL Bride...What a testimony of God's faithfulness and goodness!

During the night, I was reminded of God's precious and beautiful love for each one of us.  His faithfulness and constant pursuit of our heart and affections.  I was reminded of a wedding feast we will one day partake in with our bridegroom.  While we are waiting, we need to be obedient.  We need to be faithful.  We need to love the Lord with All our Heart, and Lean not on our own understanding...but acknowledge Him in every area.  Even the area of love.  I know many who are married and many who aren't married.  I have learned so much from spending time and talking with those who are married that it's not always easy.  That there are ups and there are downs, but it is that commitment that keeps you going.  No matter how you feel, no matter what the circumstances...if you resolve in your heart to stay committed that you are in this for good...you will make it through.  In my relationship with God, if I resolve in my heart to be commitment that despite how i feel or what my perspective is, I know that he is committed to me he is faithful to me and he desires the best for my life.  I can trust in him and i know he loves me.  I want my heart to pursue him with everything i am.  I want to be so focused on Christ that all other distractions and pursuits become less and less.  I want my life to bring him praise and honor.  In my relationships, in my actions, in everything that I do.

You know, a wedding brings many together.  It's this culmination of people celebrating and honoring two people for their decision to come together.  To be joined as husband and wife.  It is a celebration.  It is a place of joy and life and love.
"I am my beloveds and He is mine....His banner over me is love."  A joyous occasion...I am His and He is Mine.  He loves me and I love Him.  Jesus my sole desire.  The one that I seek...The one my soul longs for.  There is none like Him.  No one can satisfy like Him.  I am reminded to pursue Him over earthly desires.  For He is sweeter...He is pure...He will satisfy the longings of my heart.  He says, "If you seek me, you shall find me."  I will seek the one my heart does love!

i love how steffany frizzell, a worship leader from bethel church in california, defines worship...she says...

“Worship is something you do everyday from the minute you wake up ‘til you go to sleep at night. It’s something that you choose… it’s just this choice to be selfless instead of selfish. It’s a laying down of your life and your affection and your love. It’s saying, ‘I’m going to live for You, and I’m going to die for You and, it’s all for You. Because You already…’ He paid everything for me to be close to Him. He paid the ultimate sacrifice so that there would be no space between us. And so when I think about worship I think about filling in all the space because He, He went as far as He could to come to me. He’s done everything He could to get to me. And if there’s any space it’s because I created that space. It’s because I gave somebody that place or some situation or something that place. And so in worship, like that’s a constant choice to remove the space and say, ‘Come and fill in this space so there’snothing between us. And this is what I have to give You.’ And it’s, it’s a big deal to Him but it doesn’t feel that big to us. Like I’m always saying, ‘This feels so small to me. I don’t feel like my life, with my whole life I could pay You back, but I’ll try. And here it is.”


He gave everything for me, so I should give everything for Him...worship is a laying down of my life...giving myself to him in every area of my life.  

Faithfulness and Goodness of God!!

I have been just spending some time reflecting.  Pondering and reflecting.  Reflecting on my life.  On the goodness of God in my life throughout these past 25 years.  He has been so faithful and so good.  I am so grateful to the Lord for all He has done, and what He has yet to do.

Thank you God for your FAITHFULNESS, and your GOODNESS.  Thank you for sacrificing your son on the cross for me.  Thank you for your love and perserverance.  Thank you for the life you have given me.  You are Great and Greatly to be PRAISED!!!

The Lord Speaks Everyday and uses things to teach us about life and who He is...

What the Lord has taught me in a matter of a day...

It was one of those days where in the midst of the craziness and business I look back and see the Lord's hand on me and teaching me many "lessons" throughout the day...So here are a few that I have learned today...(What an Awesome God we Serve!!!)

1) It is not about me (at all)...It is all about him and glorifying his name in EVERY area of my LIFE...no matter where I am or what I am doing!

2) I can only control my emotions and how I feel and not someone else...I need to choose to love and see others through his eyes...not focusing on the bad but the good in others

3) His Grace is Sufficient...He is MERCIFUL...He paid a price for my life.  He gave me something I didn't deserve (life).  He provides warnings and helps to lead and guide me on the path.  He has the best intentions for my life.

4) Worship is not just about a time where we gather for a few others...It's how we express and live our lives everyday... all day.  Its an expression of my love for him.  It's how I live my life..at work at home, wherever I am at I carry the presence of the Lord with me.  He is worthy of my worship.

5) Even when Life is crazy and full of frustrations and doubts...He is Worthy!  He is worthy of my love and adoration.  He is worthy of my worship and all that I am.  He is constant throughout all the ups and downs...He remains the same yesterday, today, and forever...

6) When I feel inadequate or unworthy...He tells me who I am and reaffirms His love for me...He breaks through the insecurity and fear and tells me who I am and who He has created me to be.  In my weakness, HE is STRONG!!!

7)  All He desires is my Obedience...Obedience to hear voice and respond...Like the old hymn says, "TRUST and OBEY...For there is no other way..."

There is nothing like Jesus...Oh how I LOVE him SOOOO MUCH!  He is amazing and wonderful...He is the lover of my soul...I want to be content in Him and seek Him every day of my life.  

Well...It has been quite awhile since I have done one of these...Kind of forgot I had a blog...But anyway, thought I would write a post, and maybe we will see if I can post more regularly.

Well, what I can say about my life lately is that God is good, and I am so content in my love for Him.  I am learning more and more about who He is and desire to live my life for Him and for His glory.  I don't want to be satisfied with less.  I want the MORE of God.  I want to see lives transformed, people healed.  I want to see people KNOW Jesus...Really truly know Him in all His fullness.
I have been learning a lot about who I am lately, and through that learning more about God and who He is and who He is in Me.   He is SOOOO GOOD!!! And He is SO Faithful...I want to fall more in LOVE with HIM!  I want everything I am to serve Him and pour my love on Him.  That all earthly things would seem incomparable to his riches and what he offers.  His gifts are good.  He loves to give.  He loves to bless.  He loves to speak truth and healing.  He is CONSTANT.  HE Remains FAITHFUL.  He is TRUE to HIS WORD...HE Keeps his PROMISES for they are YES and AMEN!  He is God and there is none like Him.

I want my life to reflect Him.  To show others who HE is.  That others that I encounter would see JESUS in ME.  That my life would lead others to repentance and relationship with JEsus!  It is nothing that I do.  It is Christ in Me, The hope of Glory.  I need to choose to be obedient to his calling and to choose to walk in his way!
